We are still moving forward with the trams revival – all the external rust patches have been repaired and the exterior surface preparation has been done. The priming (undercoat) is almost complete and will be finished soon. The next phase will be the epoxy finish in original colours. This will most likely be another couple of months and we’re hoping to have the outside finished by Christmas. Because the outside original surface contained lead paint it had to be completely stripped back with the galvanised skin section needing etch primer prior  to undercoating. This is a very time consuming job with etch primer, undercoat (mid coat) and epoxy top coat needing two coats each at each stage given a light sanding. But at every stage we’re getting closer to finishing the outside !

The exterior furniture has all been removed and our resident painter (Tom) has been doing a great job!!
