Mr Ken O’Dowd called in at the Men’s Shed today with his wife Shirley for a flying visit whilst carrying out his campaign duties. Ken was impressed with the shed’s progress and stressed how important the contribution was in promoting and improving the health of local men. Cr. John Bowen also attended as well as Greg Baird of Evolution Mining and Arthur Dingle our life member. John and Arthur both thanked Ken for popping in and everyone tucked into the coffee and cake that Ken and Shirley brought along. Greg also added the importance of having a targeted plan for the shed’s future development.
We all wished Ken a successful election campaign and looked forward to another visit from him in the future whether he is returned to government or not.
