On Friday the 14th of September, Evolution Mining (Mt Rawdon Operation) held a dinner and dance at the Mt Perry Hall. All monies raised from ticket sales. the auction and raffles going to support Youth Suicide prevention programs in the local area.
The Mt Perry Men’s Shed were very pleased to donate a table for the auction. The timber slab was donated by Ken and Anita Ward and the Men’s Shed prepared the slab and produced the legs. It was great to see the enthusiasm at the auction and the table sold for $1500.
Wooden flower boxes (also made by the Men’s Shed) were a feature of each table, and these too were sold during the evening with proceeds of a further $400 being donated to the charity.
The Mt Perry Men’s shed is extremely proud of being given the opportunity to assist Evolution Mining in their efforts to support Youth Suicide prevention. The event raised in excess of $35,000 .
